Arthur and Grace Redner founded General Filters, Inc. in 1937 in Detroit, Michigan building on Mr. Redner’s expertise in vehicle lube oil filtration. In the 1950’s the company ventured into the humidifier business.

Today, General Filters is an industry leader in Indoor Air quality Products including humidification, Hepa Air Cleaners, UV Air Purifiers, Media Air Cleaners, HRV/ERV products, and more.
